Nor' Easter Adds Filament Winding Machine & Fiberglass Tubing to Operations

Nor' Easter Yachts has been providing custom fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) manufacture services for over 30 years. Originally creating rowing and sailing dinghies, the small three man company moved into manufacturing custom fiberglass products for any and all kinds of applications.

In response to demand and the desire to expand the company's capacities, Nor' Easter has acquired the 5K Series Entec Composites Machines filament winding machinery and software. This allows Nor' Easter to respond to the customer's need for stronger than steel fiberglass tubing with a maximum length of 10' and a maximum diameter of 30".

Entec Composite Machines was Nor' Easter's choice because it is the world leader in filament winding, fiberglass tubing machinery and software. Entec developed a superior software application called FiberGrafiX TM for filament winding pattern generation and optimization.

Now, Nor' Easter Yachts can respond to a broader market for custom fiberglass design and manufacturing needs to include stronger than steel fiberglass tubes and tubing for a prototype, model, hobby project, or production products.

If you are looking to partner with a fiberglass manufacturing company with the capacity to create exact fiberglass tubing with unsurpassed strength and rigidity, team up with the experienced fiberglass manufacturers at Nor' Easter for the personal attention, exact fiberglass tubing results, and exceptional customer service you deserve.

Arizona Child Custody & Parenting Time Rights

Contact family law attorney Bryon Middlebrook for advice and representation regarding any issue related to divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time rights or any issue related to family law.

Child Custody and Parenting Time

Mr. Middlebrook represents parents in divorce cases, unmarried parents with co-parenting problems and other persons such as grandparents, stepparents, or domestic partners whose ability to maintain a significant connection with a child could be threatened by a breakdown in the parents' relationship.

Child custody and parenting time are the main issues divorcing parents, or separating biological parents or legal guardians face. Child custody refers to the responsibility to support and provide a home for a child and is usually shared between the parents (joint legal custody), as are decisions regarding a child's education, welfare and health.

In any situation where parents or guardians live apart, questions as to the physical custody of the child must be resolved. Often, one parent has primary physical custody, while the other has regular access to the child and overnight or extended visits under a pareting time agreement. In some cases, parents agree to 50-50 shared physical custody, meaning the child spends half the time in each parent's home.

Unmarried parents, like divorced parents, can obtain regular and enforceable contact with their children through parenting plans.

When parents dispute the fitness of one another for primary physical custody, the matter is often referred to mediation. The parties can also agree or be compelled to undergo a child custody evaluation, which can help determine which parent's custody will best serve the interests of the child.

Child custody, child support, and parenting plans can be subject to modification if circumstances change, such as the relocation of a parent to another city or state.

Child custody, child support, and parenting time disputes must be resolved according to the best interests of the child(ren). Call attorney Bryon Middlebrook to learn how he can help you resolve all of your domestic law disputes in a manner consistent with the best interests of your children, so you and your family can get on with your lives.

Websites for Grand Canyon River Running Companies Vary

I was critiquing websites for established Grand Canyon River Running companies. I was looking for a website that was laid out beautifully, but in such a way that someone shopping for a Grand Canyon white water rafting adventure would get quick clear information about scheduling options, availability and prices.

Most people who are serious about pursuing a Colorado River Running trip through the Grand Canyon are already stirred by this stunning Wonder of the World. Maybe they've hiked it or just enjoyed the countless stunning photographs that are readily available on their coffee table or the internet. Shoppers for this once in a lifetime investment are looking for their options, prices, schedules, and availabilities.

A Grand Canyon white water rafting company website needs to include a few photos of people-filled boats crashing through Crystal rapid or Lava Falls rapid, and maybe a couple of breathtaking grottos and waterfalls. A Colorado River Running company website needs to be an enjoyable read, with the easy and apparent option of reading interesting tidbits about the history of the company, maybe blogs and reviews from trip participants. But none of this should be at the expense of obscuring the straightforward facts such as trip options, prices and availability.

My favorite Grand Canyon white water rafting company website belongs to Hatch River Expeditions. No other white water rafting company website that I reviewed was more straightforward to navigate as well as pleasant to read for anyone interested in this historic Grand Canyon river running company's unique family owned and operated business.

Sara Hatch, wife of Steve Hatch, the grandson of Bus Hatch, founder of Hatch River Expeditions in 1934, developed this website. The home page has a simple drop down menu with their four Trip Options; motorized, oar powered, hiking and kayak support. The Reservations link takes the white water trip shopper directly to available dates, deposits and payments, cancellation policy, forms & downloads as well as guest information forms.

The Good to Know link is my favorite, with general information, food information and a packing list. The About Us drop down menu includes, "Why Hatch?", "Our History", "Our Guides", and "Our Philosophy"; all very interesting and appealing. This section brings the Hatch family, and their authenticity as the original Grand Canyon white water rafting company, to life. This is unique to Hatch and something that most other Colorado River Running companies that operate in the Grand Canyon cannot write about.

Hatch River Expeditions' website wins my blue ribbon among all the Grand Canyon river running companies' websites as the clearest, least complicated, most forthcoming as well as the most interesting read regarding the history of Hatch, the most personable and interesting company in Colorado River Running history.

Flagstaff Uniform & Sports Exchange

I retired after a 27 year long career as a clinical social worker in 2007. I was enjoying a part time job at TrailsWeb interviewing local small business owners and writing copy for the development of their websites.

I sensed that Flagstaff small business owners had confidence and pride in their accomplishments. I also believe in small businesses, especially in towns like Flagstaff. They are what create this town's unique character.

I paid attention to my experience and decided that I wanted to be a small business owner in downtown Flagstaff.

My criteria for creating a Flagstaff business here was five fold. My business would:
  • Be "Flagstaff-centric" without franchise fees or inventory bought from outside the community.

  • Meet a currently unmet need or niche.

  • Be recession friendly, especially for starving students, growing families, etc.

  • Be green.

  • Promote healthy joy and participation in our community's life.

I was volunteering at Flagstaff Middle School when a friend and mother of four blurted out, "Not having a 'Play It Again Sports' in town is killing me. I just spent $600 at Big 5 for one sports season and I'm not even done getting everything they need". I felt a "pop" in my brain and Flagstaff Uniform & Sports Exchange was born. I came up with the name because I like the acronym, F.U.S.E. . I think is implies coming together.

I began collecting inventory at moving sales and thrift stores. I found some amazing cleats, shin guards, soccer balls, baseball and softball bats, mitts, balls of all kinds and was able to sell them for 50 to 90% less than retail.

I was inspired by the "Play It Again Sports" and the "Bookman's" concept of offering trade credit or cash for good inventory that people brought to me. (I now get a truckload of cool stuff almost every day. Thanks everybody!

I recruited my friend and mother of three active kids, Kristin Brown and we set up a huge tent and held "sales events" in the parking lot of the Flagstaff Athletic Clubs, both eastside and west through the summer.

In early August, I drove by 19 W. Aspen, a beautiful building right on the corner of Aspen and Beaver, next door to the Orpheum Theatre. I spun around the block, parked and pressed my nose on the glass of the vacant building. It had been Odegaard's Sewing Center. I knew Van Odegaard built and owned the building. His business outgrew the space, so he moved to 2107 4th street right before the recession hit. It had been empty for a year.

I wrote Van a proposal to keep his building on the commercial real estate market but allow me to move Flagstaff Uniform & Sports Exchange into the building for a fraction of the rent plus a percentage of my gross income. He accepted my proposal. I'm so grateful. F.U.S.E. has been there two months now.

The community has responded enthusiastically to F.U.S.E.. Without fail, every customer has commented about how badly Flagstaff needed this kind of store and how wonderful my inventory is.

In response to feedback from customers, we also carry medical scrubs, camping gear, martial arts and wrestling gear, and we recycle Flagstaff Middle School logo clothes as well as offer new items printed by Claudia at Cheap Clothes and Shirt Co. We have been asked to recycle logo clothes for all the FUSD middle schools.

I also continue to write copy for small business websites at TrailsWeb. I'm crazy busy but I can't tear myself away from TrailsWeb. It's the friendliest, funnest workplace I've ever experienced.

Thank you F.U.S.E.. Thank you Flagstaff. Thank you TrailsWeb.

Zane Grey RV Park

Zane Grey RV Park was one of TrailsWeb's early small business website clients. Here at TrailsWeb, we've learned and evolved so much since those days that I was pleasantly surprised to see how visually appealing, informative and navigable the Arizona RV Park website is as I peruse it today.

When I read about this Arizona campground on the website, I felt truly blessed to live here in Northern Arizona with Camp Verde just a 45 minute drive and the Zane Grey RV Park offering an affordable and beautiful campground getaway right on Clear Creek.

The site provides links to Arizona Day Use Parks in the area; Fort Verde State Historical Park, Jerome State Historical Park (my personal favorite ghost town), Red Rock State Park, (stunning!), and Oak Creek Canyon.

Also linked to the site are National Monuments in the area; Montezuma Castle, (a pueblo cliff dwelling) Montezuma's Well, and Tuzigoot National Monument.

The Zane Grey RV Park website hooks you up to hiking and mountain biking trails all over Camp Verde and Sedona in the Coconino and Yavapai National Forests as well as area golf courses, the Verde Canyon Railroad, and the Verde Valley Chambers of Commerce.

I really enjoy this site for it's one-stop overview of the multitude of incredible attractions that one can enjoy while camping at this beautiful Arizona RV Park on the banks of Clear Creek in Camp Verde, Arizona.

As the air turns cold here in Flagstaff, I'm inspired to plan a trip in our camper to the Zane Grey RV Park in Camp Verde, Arizona where the weather today is sunny and 84 degrees.
